Doula and Lactation Services are covered by some insurances!
Peachy Births is no longer offering coverage for Anthem plans, BCBS plans of Kansas/Missouri, BCBS plans of Kansas City or Cigna plans. This does not mean you don't have lactation benefits. Your services will be billed as out-of-network. Depending on your plan, this may mean you have to pay out of pocket and submit a superbill to your plan to get reimbursed.
This change is due to Anthem/BCBS's refusal to contract directly with lactation consultants. Please contact your plan to demand that they allow independent Lactation Consultants to contract directly with them.
